Jacquelyn Kenann Mallette

overview

  • I study resilience from a strengths based family life education perspective by analyzing family-level components that promote individual and family resilience, as well as specifying individual-, family-, and community-level contextual factors that influence coparental and paternal behaviors among vulnerable families who have experienced adversity. I am currently the evaluation PI of a federally funded initiative, SHARP/WEAR, in collaboration with the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, which provides evidence-based life skills, relationship skills, and substance use disorder treatment programs to inmates at the Pitt County Detention Center.
