- My background is in Human Development and Family Science, with a specialization in early childhood care and education. I have several areas of interest and I take a multi-disciplinary approach towards my research projects. I have consistently worked with faculty members from social work, nutrition sciences and public health. Occasionally, I consult for enginnering and health sciences. My grants have been funded at both federal and state level. Currently, my area of interest revolve round; Teacher Professional Development, STEM education in Early Childhood, Diversity issues related to gender and culture within the field of Early Childhood, Early Childhood Mental Health (particularly trauma-informed practices), Teacher Practices on DAP, parameters of Quality and its implementation within Early Childhood Settings.
