- Dr. Sarah Maness is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Education and Promotion at East Carolina University. She earned a PhD in Public Health from the University of South Florida and MPH from Emory University. She holds Bachelors Degrees in Biological Sciences and Spanish from North Carolina State University. Her research interests are in Social Determinants of Health and health equity, primarily in reproductive health (adolescent pregnancy prevention, HPV vaccination) and community gun violence.
