The Board of Commissioners (BOC), elected by the Assembly of Delegates, directs the activities of the Textile and Apparel Programs Accreditation Commission (TAPAC). The BOC comprises 14 representatives from textiles and apparel and related baccalaureate programs in academic colleges, universities, and the textile and apparel industry. Fourteen (14) commissioners are elected or appointed as described below. Nine (9) commissioners shall be elected by the TAPAC Assembly of Delegates from faculty members of Assembly of Delegates programs to represent the diversity of types of four-year programs and ITAA content areas. The BOC appoints one public member representing the textile and apparel-related industry and one practicing professional in a textiles and apparel or related industry. The President and the Past President of the TAPAC BOC serve as ex-officio voting members of the BOC. The Executive Director serves as an ex-officio non-voting member of the BOC.
