• John Tucker   I served as a reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education, International and Foreign Language Education, of applications for funding National Resource Centers and Foreign Language and Area Studies fellowships, East Asia competition. The review process was conducted online. The NRC and FLAS grants are awarded now every four years and typically total in excess of $1mill. Competing institutions are major universities with impressive programs in East Asian languages and East Asian content courses, including substantial presence of history classes.
  The review process concluded on April 8, 2022, after my 2021-2022 annual report was submitted.   2021
