In keeping with the institution?s long history of innovation and a commitment to embrace emerging and proven technology, ECU?s College of Engineering and Technology proposes to collaborate with rural, eastern North Carolina high schools and community colleges to expand a workforce development and STEM education network designed to prepare a rural, underserved workforce to fill the Industrial IoT skills gap. Project Costs: In order to carry out the project, ECU requests $346,423.47 in US Department of Agriculture Distance Learning & Telemedicine funds and will commit $55,000 in cash match, thus bringing the total project budget to $401,423.47. Budget worksheets for the project are attached for review.
