abstract

  • The first goal of the proposed project will be to explore how leadership can best be integrated into the existing hospitality curriculum and will focus on identifying the learning outcomes desired of hospitality students in terms of leadership, a common curriculum practice for professional programs with expected endpoints (O'Neill, 2009; Ornstein & Hunkins, 2009; Wiggins & McTighe, 2005). The second goal of this proposed project is to educate hospitality management students in the use of information as a leadership tool for effective problem solving and decision making.The grant is interdisciplinary with faculty from HMGT, Joyner & Laupus Libraries working together.
