The purpose of EQUIPPED is to recruit and provide high quality preparation for culturally diverse and culturally responsive cohorts totaling 42 new Baccalaureate degree, initially licensed Special Educators and 18 Master degree Special Educators with the advanced teaching license and particular facility in assistive technology. EQUIPPED will foster employment and retention of these scholars in eastern North Carolina's rural, high-need schools through a variety of strategies, including a 3-year post-graduation e-mentoring program. Note: This is a non-competing continuation and the annual report will be uploaded when it is completed -- due October 30, 2015.
