  • We want to plan for a remodel of our existing Special collections exhibit spaces so they will provide a better experience for exhibit viewers. We intend to hire a consultant to review our existing spaces and needs and write recommendations. We have identified key constituents in our campus community, specifically faculty members who often utilize Special Collections? instructional services with their classes, their students, and members of the Friends of Joyner Library who represent the community. We will have the consultant meet with these groups to gather their input. The consultant will be responsible for evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of existing exhibit spaces, carefully considering the needs expressed by library staff and key campus constituents, and writing a final report with specific, actionable recommendations. He will also evaluate the current exhibit manual for ADA compliance and best practices.
