Carbon and methane are important greenhouse gases and wetlands, like those in Everglades National Park, can emit or sequester large quantities of carbon. But, the observations needed to make informed environmental and management decisions that considers climate-related ecosystem services. Therefore, we developing improved carbon and methane models by working with stakeholders to collect surveys and scientific samples that will help address data and information gaps. Here, we will travel to Everglades National Park to conduct field work in support of a NASA Carbon Monitoring Systems project.
