Collaborative Research: IUSE: EHR: A Student-Centered Personalized Learning Framework to Advance Undergraduate Robotics Education

The specific goal of this project is to enhance undergraduate robotics education by using a student-centered personalized learning framework with a general instructor without robotics expertise. Our proposed education method allows different learning paths and does not require a large robotics research program to have sufficient teaching expertise. We will conduct experiments to examine if our proposed student-centered personalized learning pedagogy can improve students' learning outcomes and motivation. We will also examine if those learning gains occur at community colleges and universities without faculty who have a primary focus on robotics research and instruction.
