CoPe Conference: HurRaCon: Science at the Intersection of Hurricanes and the Populated Coast

The proposed conference, Science at the Intersection of Hurricanes and the Populated Coast, will address the critical challenges described above and research gaps while focusing on the rapidly changing ecological, geophysical, and socio-economic conditions that accompany a damaging hurricane event and its aftermath. The ephemeral data captured through the RAPID grant program provides a unique and important source of knowledge. Further, our emphasis on communicating across disciplines and between scientists and stakeholders will contribute to learning opportunities for both researchers and the broader community they are trying to help.
