Veeranna Maddipati, MBBS., MD., is an assistant professor in the division of Pulmonary and Critical Medicine at East Carolina University and Viant Medical Center. He completed medical school in Guntur Medical college, N.T.R University in India. Subsequently he has completed residency in internal Medicine and served an additional year as Chief Resident at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He then specialized in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine and graduated from Loyola Universiy Medical Center in Chocago. He now serves as a teaching faculty and as an associate program director in the pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship. He is also the director of pulmonary vascular diseases and pulmonary embolism response team at ECU. He cares for patients when critically ill and in the ICU, as well as in the Moye Medical Center on a outpatient basis. His research includes studies in Pulmonary Hypertension, Pulmonary Embolism and COPD.
