- Dr. Alison Swift is an Associate Professor in the Advanced Nursing Practice and Education department and has taught at ECU CON since 2011. She is the Concentration Director for the MSN and Post-Master's Certificate (PMC) in Nursing Education programs. Dr. Swift teaches primarily in the MSN Nursing Education concentration, but also mentors PhD students and honors students in their research projects. Her research interests include psychological and physiological chronic stress (hair cortisol, telomere length), mental health, coping mechanisims, and quality of life in women with reproductive traumas of infertility and pregnancy loss. Other research interests include integrative health and nursing education.
