Dr. Taniyev received his Ph.D. in Sport Management from the University of Kansas, MBA from California University of Pennsylvania, MS in Sport Administration from Fort Hays State University, and BBA from Harding University. His research interests revolve around the psychology behind consumer behavior and athlete marketing with a particular focus on senior populations, providing a deeper understanding of how various elements of brand image influence fan engagement and ensure athletes' permanence in the market and long-term financial stability. He has presented his research at regional, national, and international conferences across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Dr. Taniyev has also supervised multiple undergraduate research projects and served on thesis committees for honors students. His industry experience includes working as a market research analyst for a Silicon Valley startup. He has also led the sales team at a global sports marketing agency and worked for the governing body of college tennis, where he assisted in the coordination and promotion of regional and national NCAA, NAIA, and Junior/Community College championships. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, fishing, playing tennis and pickleball, and hiking with friends and family.
