abstract

  • The current project looks to create the needed infrastructure to train and support community doulas within ENC. This will be an expansion of our hospital based volunteer program. Doulas are birth workers that provide support to pregnant and postpartum people. Doula care has been shown to reduce perinatal complications and improve birth outcomes, especially among low income birthing populations.
