abstract

  • The primary aim of this project is to develop and implement a workshop to help psychologists serving Eastern North Carolina move towards decolonization in their research, clinical practice, and teaching. This workshop will focus on de-centering the Eurocentric 'colonizer' ideology by providing experiences to explore how power, historical erasure, and devaluing of marginalized voices have shaped the practice of psychology as well as identify actions to create a more inclusive field.
