abstract

  • The proposed project will translate Lean and Green principles to production practices by providing on-site pollution prevention technical assistance for the craft brewing and small to medium winery industry of North Carolina, both growing industries in the state. This effort will serve to reduce pounds of pollution, conserve water and/or energy, reduce greenhouse gases, and save money through Economy, Energy and Environment (E3). This work will be in coordination with the NC GreenTravel program, NC Wine, and the NC Craft Brewers Guild and will result in the development of additional resources to ?green? North Carolina wine and beer production.
