abstract

  • Pediatric cancer negatively impacts the psychosocial well-being of patients and their families. While empirically supported guidelines for providing psychosocial care in pediatric oncology have been established, there has been limited use of these standards in practice. The field of implementation science provides guidance on how to best introduce evidence-based standards into practice, such as the Knowledge to Action Framework (KTA) and the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR). The goal of the present study is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and appropriateness of working with Stakeholders to use the KTA and CFIR frameworks to introduce the Standards for Psychosocial Care of Children with Cancer and their Families (SPCCCF) into practice. Additionally, we will explore the impact of this process on stakeholder perspectives of SPCCCF, implementation climate, and implementation readiness. Finally, we will evaluate whether Stakeholders anticipate the implementation plan developed through this process will be successful
