Support of an NC Sea Grant will permit investigation into climate factors on NC coastal shrimp and specifically the impact on brown shrimp recruitment. The work will engage the PI in seasonal temperature and wind patterns, analysis of brown to white shrimp among changes in land use, and in identifying patterns to lead to the prevalence of white shrimp in the southern area of NC.
