Presently, devices being generated to harness current energy from the ocean are considered to have some environmental impact based on the structure of the device and the sounds that they emit. Thus, a novel current energy device is proposed that will be less expensive with fewer environmental impacts and not require a cut-in speed for energy extraction such as is necessary with a more typical marine turbine. The proposed device will exploit ocean and river current energy harvesting in low speed environments.
