Archaeological and Geophysical Investigation of the WWII B-24H Crash Site Associated with MACR 2711

ECU proposes to undertake the archaeological and geophysical investigation of the sunken WWII B-24H aircraft site associated with MACR 2711 off the eastern coast of Italy near the Isle of Morgo in March 2018. Archaeological and geophysical investigations will include but not be limited to Ground penetrating radar (GPR), Electric Resistivity Tomography (ERT), and Sub-Bottom Profiler to characterize the extent and nature of the site under investigation. Five days will be devoted to geophysical survey and two travel days to equal a total of seven days.
