The HWTF grant will be used to expand and implement comprehensive tobacco use prevention and cessation initiatives throughout Eastern North Carolina. East Carolina University (ECU) will partner with surrounding colleges and institutions to reduce and prevent tobacco use among college students aged 18-24. These funds will provide our coalition with the resources to implement tobacco cessation activities as we develop and promote tobacco policies throughout campuses in Eastern North Carolina. These efforts are designed to help reduce tobacco use among the target population as we initiate efforts for tobacco -free campuses.
