The project proposed aims to increase access to evidence-based music therapy services through the established Music Therapy Clinic @ ECU (MTC@ECU) to adults diagnosed with Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through two specific group programs, and a scholarship fund for underserved individuals be able to afford music therapy services. One group being proposed is an inter-ability rock band that will be offered to adults throughout Pitt Co. The other arm of the project is to provide music therapy groups to Autism Society of NC's social recreation (children), adult transition, and adult social recreation programs. Finally, the project requests funds for a scholarship program to provide fee waivers to those needing financial assistance.
