Since 2010, ECU has hosted a one-day conference known as the STEM Girls. This active-learning event brings approximately 100 middle-school girls from Pitt County Public Schools to the ECU campus for a day of STEM activities. The focus of this proposal is to expand STEM Girls to other counties by partnering with community colleges in those counties. Specifically, the STEM Girls of Eastern North Carolina project will expand the existing STEM Girls Conference to Craven County.
