abstract

  • This project seeks to understand and explore the drivers of social license and social legitimacy towards the introduction of climate dioxide removal technologies in North Carolina. With the introduction of new climate mitigation technologies on the rise, understanding the social dimensions and how communities may respond to the introduction is important. This project also integrates a climate justice angle, focused on procedural and distributive justice to examine how the costs and benefits will be shared spatially and temporally across communities.
