  • Faculty mentoring is vital to students? success. Given the recent changes in college athletics, it is timely to better understand faculty mentoring dynamic and perspectives among student-athletes. Consequently, the Mentor Role Instrument will be used to determine the most common faculty mentorship of student-athletes function type (RQ1) and current faculty perspectives on student-athletes (RQ2) through a broadly distributed online survey of university faculty. Results are expected highly how this new knowledge can create pathway for faculty advocacy and dispelling student-athlete stigmas, positively impact student-athletes? academic and social experiences, and aid in student-athlete integration into the campus community.
