  • North Carolina School Health Training Center (NC SHTC) is uniquely positioned to assist North Carolina Healthy Schools within the Department of Public Instruction to continue to support the Centers for Disease Control work centered around School-Based Interventions to Promote Equity and Improve Health, Academic Achievement, and Well-Being of Students. The NCCSHTC will provide professional development for CDC tools including the WPAT, School Health Index and others in addition to trainings for the priority district on Elementary, Middle and High School Health Education. Lastly, the NCCSHTC will assist with planning and implementing the annual statewide School Health Advisory Council meeting for all districts. This meeting is open to all SHACs and provides an opportunity for sharing, networking, and identifying strategies to implement in their local schools and communities with partners.
