Purpose: The purpose of this project is to provide athletic training services to local area schools in Pitt County, NC. Objective: The objective of this project is to improve the quality of health care provided to atheltes in Pitt County Schools. Methods: The objective will be accomplished by awarding (sponsored by Pitt County Schools) graduate assistantships to individuals who are Certified Athletic Trainers, licensed in the state of North Carolina, to provide health care services to athletes in each of the Pitt County High Schools. Graduates Assistants will work in assigned high schools and provide services in indicated in the "ECU-PCS" Graduate Assistantship Agreement".
