Insecticide Resistance Testing of Active Ingredients and Formulated Products in North Carolina 25-26

Mosquitoes can develop resistance to insecticide active ingredients (AI) over time when exposed to sublethal doses. Mosquito exposure to insecticide formulated products (FP) during ultra-low volume (ULV) applications occurs via direct contact with aerosolized liquid droplets containing AI and other ingredients to enhance effectiveness. Limited data has been collected on efficacy of FP against North Carolina mosquitoes. Wind tunnel and bottle bioassay insecticide assessments will be conducted for NC mosquito populations. Data will be entered into NCVectorSurv.
