  • With the help of the UNC Press Office of Scholarly Publishing Services, NCLR will conduct a one-time promotion of our beautifully designed print issues to booksellers and librarians, letting them know that we are now available through UNC Press. We are requesting $750 to offset the cost of mailing the most recent issue with a cover letter and an order form to libraries and bookstores across North Carolina, inviting the libraries to subscribe and the bookstores to stock issues for sale. Typically, we find that when people see the journal—at events, for example—they are more inclined to purchase. Indeed, some of our regular readers buy their issues every year at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh. We have always believed that NCLR should be available in every library across the state, and this promotion could certainly increase the number of library subscriptions. In addition, we plan to reach out to university/college libraries across the country to introduce NCLR and inform them of its availability through various digital subscription hosts like Ebsco.
