abstract

  • 1) Develop a comprehensive model for Virtual Team interactions and their impact on team outcomes using the Virtuality continuum -; We have designed a longitudinal study that includes virtual team constructs such as trust, cohesion, self-efficacy, media selection, etc. ; We plan to study their development over time and evaluate the impact of their interactions on team effectiveness, performance and satisfaction. (with Drs. Drake, Hauser, and Furner). ;
    2) Empirically measure and test the development of Social Virtual Competence of Virtual Teams based on the degree of Virtuality. ; Virtual Competence is emerging as a more-appreciate measure of individual competence when working in virtual teams. ; It is a rather new construct that has been proposed to include Virtual Self-Efficacy, Media and Social skills (Wang, Y., &; Haggerty, N. (2011) (with Honors student Claire Tuttle)
