The Pitt County Coalition on Substance Abuse (PCCSA), which the PI directs will focus on decreasing underage drinking and opiate misuse/abuse among youth in Pitt County. They will do this by decreasing the availability of these substances and changing the social norms in the county, specifically in downtown Greenville concerning underage drinking. The action plans include distributing prescription pill lock boxes for residents, providing drop boxes for law enforcement and providing BARS training to Greenville's downtown bars and clubs. The PCCSA will also work on its capacity by recruiting new members, providing training to members and increasing its diversity.
