Our project engages formal and informal educators from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences (NCMNS), the Sacrificial Poets (SacPo), and the Tar River Writing Project (TRWP) as well as young learners in these educators? classrooms, neighborhoods, and third spaces to remix, remake, and curate the museum?s physical and virtual spaces around student interests and open networks. With this project, we intend to create culturally-responsive science literacy programming that leverages the expertise and resources of each of of the partners by combining interactive science learning, spoken word poetry, and digital media to explore everyday science and engage educators and the young people they work with in producing and publishing science media.
