Building off work, which found Non-White student-athletes would benefit from the virtual communication simulations (Fraley et al., 2020), this study will further test this application for Black and minority student-athletes. Due to power dynamics and stigma, it is imperative to empower minoritized student-athletes with a safe space and the opportunity to advocate and voice concerns in an appropriate manner with authority figures. The results are expected to demonstrate how communication and a culture of listening can be fostered such that the student-athlete experience is enhanced and greater communication and alliances among administrators, coaches and athletes are formed.
