I will be going to the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting in October. The travel dates are 10/4-10/7. The conference is 10/5-10/7. I am requesting external funding to come from the State Library of NC via funding from IMLS to be remitted directly to my library as a travel award. This would fund my participation in this conference where I will be able to learn new forms of assessment via a Continuing Education course, presenting research in the form of a poster which has been accepted and potentially a speaking engagement I am waiting to hear back from the presentations committee about, and to learn from other librarians in the health sciences librarian profession. No financial awards as a result of this award application will be remitted directly to me.
