Visegrad in the 21st Century - Challenges and Opportunities for East Central European (ECE) States

The educational grant finances the creation of an undergraduate course on Visegrad states and Eastern Europe titled: ?Visegrad in the 21st Century ? Challenges and Opportunities for East Central European (ECE) States? as a geographic area in between two great powers (Western Europe and Russia). The overall aim is to make Central and Eastern Europe a greater and also permanent focus in the political science and security studies programs at ECU. We will invite at least six leading scholars from the Visegrad states to give guest lecturers and public presentations on key topics. It is planned that the European experts will also engage in other scholarly and educational activities, such as the participation in symposia and possibly the compilation of an edited volume of the lectures given at ECU.
