Camp Corral (CC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free summer camp experiences for children of military service members who are injured, ill, or fallen. Each year over 3,000 children attend CC camps and CC undertakes an evaluation of those experiences. This 2022 project will entail surveying parent/guardians, campers, and staff of the traditional summer camp program immediately post-camp with a two-month follow-up (campers and parents, only). This year the project also includes conducting an evaluation of family camp weekend experiences. Camper and parent/guardian survey items will focus on three areas: (1) a traditional camp experience evaluation, (2) child care-giving experiences, and (3) camper respite experiences. The staff surveys will address the camp experience and levels of staff understanding of military-connected youth. The family camp weekend surveys will evaluate the experience, itself.
