Faculty Workshop on Integrating Sustainability into the Curriculum
I was selected to participate in the 2nd Annual "Faculty Workshop on Integrating Sustainability into the Curriculum" hosted at ECU in May 2025. The workshop will explore how we can meaningfully integrate sustainability-broadly defined-into our classrooms. It starts by taking a close look at ECU, Greenville, and the eastern NC region and will allow participatns to engage in local/global comparisons. There will be resource experts giving presentations and facilitating discussion of a green curriculum and its integration and role in the broader community. Faculty will need to create an activity implementing sustainability in the upcoming Fall 2025 semester. 2024 - 2025

North Carolina Science Olympiad (2025 Regional Tournament at ECU)
Work as the Event Leader for the EntomologyRegional Tournament at ECU, during the2025 North Carolina Science Olympiad. The Entomology event will be one of the many events during the tournament.North Carolina Science Olympiad (NCSO) is a NCState program with a mission to attract and retain the pool of K-12 students entering science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees and careers in North Carolina. Every year NCSO hosts tournaments on university, community college, and public school campuses across the state. These tournaments are rigorous academic interscholastic competitions that consist of a series of different hands-on, interactive, challenging and inquiry-based events that are well balanced between the various disciplines of biology, earth science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, engineering and technology. 2024
