My research is inherently interdisciplinary, situated at the intersection of geography, environmental studies, spatial cognition, geospatial analysis, and conservation. By leveraging GIScience and spatial theories, I employ innovative methods to study how anthropogenic actions affect the movement of natural systems. The growing human population has increasingly impacted how wild animals interact with their landscapes and how they travel under conditions of fear. The concept of the Landscape of Fear (LOF) refers to the spatial variation in an organism's perception of risk, which leads to environmental adaptations over its lifetime and influences how animals decide where to go. My current projects aim to promote coexistence between humans and other species in coastal environments and other Brazilian ecosystems, such as the Atlantic Forest.
