• Dr. Ricky Castles is an award winning educator and skilled researcher with expertise in engineering education and applications of sensor networks. He currently serves as the Associate Dean for Student Affairs in the College of Engineering and Technology at East Carolina University and was recently approved for promotion to the rank of professor in the Department of Engineering (effective August 2026). He has mentored several graduate and undergraduate students on thesis projects or undergraduate research. He currently leads the College of Engineering and Technology's Marketing, Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement (MORE) team and serves as executive director of the Student Success Center which includes all academic advisors for the College.
