• Zhan Furner, is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the College of Business at East Carolina University. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas Tech University, an MSA from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor of International Economic Law from Hunan University. Before entering Academia, Zhan worked at a number of public accounting firms including KPMG. She is also a licensed CPA in North Carolina.
  Her research has appeared in several academic and practiooner journals, including the CPA Journal, Tax Notes, Journal of Taxation, Electronic Markets, and Advances in Taxation.
  Zhan specializes in Accounting Information Systems, Tax and Financial Accounting. Her research focuses on international corporate tax, financial reporting and executive compensation issues.Zhan likes to spend time on the beach with her family and enjoys reading, running and watching ECU football.
