John R. Drake is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at East Carolina University. ; He holds a BS in Physics from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a Ph.D. in Management of Information Technology and Innovation from Auburn University. ; His research has been published in journals such as AIS Transactions on HCI, Journal of Business Ethics, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Journal of Information Technology Theory and Application, and Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research. ; His current research interest focuses on thinking and morality with information systems, exploring social media privacy, search strategies, online education, and general business ethics. ; A second research stream focuses on virtual team work, exploring the role of trust, risk, and virtuality of teams in successful completion of their projects. Professor Drake is also author of eCommerce: A Stakeholder Approach.
