• Ashley J. Britton, PhD is a licensed psychologist and certified member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. She is employed as a Clinical Assistant Professor, in the Brody School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, at East Carolina University. Dr. Britton is an attending psychologist on the Consultation-Liaison service and provides clinical services to patients on the inpatient medical and psychiatric units; Additionally, she provides clinical teaching and supervision of medical students, psychiatry residents and psychology trainees (intern and practicum doctoral students). Prior to joining ECU Physicians, Dr. Britton earned a PhD in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Clinical Health Psychology, from the University of Georgia. She completed her clinical health psychology residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan and completed a clinical psychology/behavioral medicine postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
