Leigh Cellucci

overview

  • Dr. Cellucci is a Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, College of Allied Health Sciences and Professor in the Department of Health Services and Information Management. She was a Fulbright Scholar to India and recipient of a grant for innovative teaching from the American Sociological Association as well as grants sponsored by the BB&;T Leadership Enhancement Fund that focus on leadership development in the classroom. She has received the Dean’s Award for outstanding performance in teaching as well as the University of North Carolina Board Of Governors Distinguished Professor for Teaching Award. Currently, she serves as Chair on the Board for the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), and as Treasurer for ECU’s chapter of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Her research primarily focuses on the strategic use of health information technology, examining factors that influence adoption and implementation of electronic health records, and has been published in journals such as Health Policy and Technology, Business Case Journal, and Journal of Health Administration Education. She is the author of four books focusing on healthcare management. ;
