Tiffany Machado Blanchflower

overview

  • By nature, I am a curious person. As a consumer behaviorist, I want to know the "why and what" that drives our consumption of retailers' goods, services, and brand messaging. As a scholar, I seek to investigates emerging trends on this topic in ways that are complementary to my colleague's own scholarship, and will contribute to vision, priorities, and goals of East Carolina University.
My approach to research is collaborative, interdisciplinary, and draws on qualitative and quantitative methodologies. I truly enjoy interdisciplinary and collaborative research, as I view these instances as opportunities to grow as a researcher, adding to my research skills and subject matter knowledge. As a team member, one of my strengths is my ability to draw on qualitative and quantitative methodologies, providing insights on which method(s) best suit(s) the work at hand. My philosophical perspective and approach to research has led to amazing research opportunities. Below are some of my areas of research:

    Marketing and Branding in Retail
    Alternative Consumption: Retailers and Consumers
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&;I) in Retailing
Innovations in Textile and Apparel Programs
