- Federal Bureau of Investigation I have been working as a research consultant with special agents in the FBI on two separate research projects. The first examines situational factors that predict success in hostage negotiation situations. I have been assisting with data analysis and writing the discussion section of a paper being submitted to a peer-reviewed journal. The second project assesses emotional intelligence within policing as it relates to various outcomes (e.g., job burnout, stress, and use of force decision-making). In this project, I have been responsible for methodological choices, constructing potential survey instruments, and drafting technical reports for police agencies we are collaborating with. 2021 - 2023
