• Jessica Doyle-Mekkes is the Head of Musical Theatre at East Carolina University where she has taught musical theatre voice and vocal pedagogy since 2017. In 2023, The Coach Foundation identified Jessica as one of the premiere vocal coaches in the industry.Jessica has spent the last 15 years studying the human voice and working as a vocal coach for actors, singers, and public speakers. An internationally published writer and sought after clinician, her debut book,I'm Speaking: every woman's guide to finding your voice &; using it fearlessly(2023 Rowman &; Littlefield) was called, "...a bible in standing your ground without trepidation." by Booklist.
  Jessica was selected for the Women Leaders at ECU Panel (March 2024) and will be talking about advancing opportunities through care and belonging. She will also be the keynote speaker for the3rd International Virtual Conference on Women's Day 2024, hosted by Women Ascension in collaboration with Entrepreneurs' Ecole.Jessica lives in Greenville, NC with her husband Don, their daughters Tallulah and Jolie, and a codependent chihuahua named Sebastian.
