    Harrison is an instructor for FINA 3154 - Principles of Risk Management and Insurance. FINA 3154 is a survey course that touches on insurance principles, personal insurance, insurance company processes and practices, and the insurance societal safety net provided by the state and federal governments.
    Harrison has an undergraduate business degree (B.S.) from the University of South Carolina where he majored in Insurance and Economic Security. Harrison also has a Master of Insurance degree (M.S.) from Georgia State University.
    Harrison worked for eleven years at Seibels Bruce &; Company, a managing general agent, with his last role being Actuarial Coordinator.
    Harrison worked for thirty-one years at The Institutes (The American Institute for Property Casualty Underwaters, and the Insurance Institute of America). The Institutes is a credentialing organization serving the technical education needs of people working in the property-casualty industry through distance learning. While with The Institutes, Harrison developed curriculum in the areas of risk management, insurance accounting and finance, reinsurance, and insurance operations. Harrison revised/wrote fourteen textbooks during his employment with the Institutes.
