Dr. Elgendy earned a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2007 and was in private practice for 5 years before moving to the U.S. in 2012. She completed a masters in operative dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2016 and was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry at Iowa from 2016 until joining ECU in 2019. Her major interest is CAD/CAM and cosmetic dentistry.
